JANE EYRE

This January, Erin is thrilled to return to Off-Brand Opera as the music director of Jane Eyre The Musical. This musical’s sweeping score and incorporation of both classical and modern musical influences lends itself to Erin’s signature interdisciplinary style, and the cast features singers from both operatic and musical theatre backgrounds. See the show at Theatre at St. Jeans on the Upper East Side from January 18-20!

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL(S) at Green Room 42

Erin returned to Green Room 42 with Russell & Rose Productions this December for High School Musical(s). Featuring music from your favorite musicals set in high school, a talented cast sang their way from freshman to senior year. The program featured several of Erin’s vocal arrangements, including a memorably transformed “Holding Out for a Hero” trio.

RUDDIGORE at Ridgewood G&S

This fall, Erin returned to Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company—this time, on the other side of table! Erin was thrilled to music direct and conduct this year’s production of Ruddigore, a richly-scored story of cursed baronets and hidden identity.

PIETÀ at Opera America

Nearly two years after performing in the world premiere video of Jake Landau & Andrea DelGiudice’s new opera, Pietà, Erin rejoins the original cast for the first live reading of this work in NYC. This public industry reading is presented by Off-Brand Opera in Opera America’s Marc Scorca Hall, with a reception to follow.

FALLING at Green Room 42

Erin makes her Green Room 42 music directing debut with a new cabaret called Falling, the first performance by Russell & Rose Productions. The cabaret tells a love story from many angles, inviting the audience to explore the passion and excitement of a budding romance, the tension and pain of conflict with those we love, and the bittersweet relief of moving on. This evening features an unmissable set of Broadway classics performed in both traditional and new interepretations (arranged by Erin!) that show off this talented cast’s flexibility and range.

A STITCH IN TIME: A NEW MUSICAL

This summer, Erin appeared in A Stitch in Time, a new musical with book & lyrics by Claude Solnik and music by Gary Edwards at Theater for the New City. This modern retelling of The Emperor’s New Clothes is a timeless and topical comedy taking place in the kingdom—I mean, country—of Erehwon, where a deluded President learns the value of love and truth with the help of his beloved First Lady (Erin) and his people.

2022

IT WAS A REAL NICE CLAMBAKE Off-Brand Opera Returns!

Off-Brand Opera’s third show took place this December with a fresh take on Carousel, the beloved Rogers & Hammerstein classic. Presented in Bella Ciao’s intimate basement cabaret space, this production allows audiences to participate in an immersive experience with artists from a variety of performance backgrounds. Erin appeared as Carrie and was also the production’s music director.

‘TIS MABEL! Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company!

Erin was thrilled to debut at the Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, the classic thrilling farce of love and duty.

Directed by Brendan Hartnett with music direction by Richard Nechamkin.

BACK TO NARNI – One summer, two Belindas!

Erin returned to the Narnia International Vocal Arts Festival under the direction of Andrea DelGiudice to sing the role of Belinda in two operas: Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas, and the world premiere of a new companion opera, & Aeterna, by Jake Landau and librettist Emily Garber. She was also featured as Echo in the new mini-musical Echo & Narcissus, another new Landau-Garber collaboration, and sang at the Cattedrale di Narni in a sacred mass.

SPARK: AN EXPERIMENTAL CONCERTOff-Brand Opera

Off-Brand Opera returned this spring with a concert entirely comprised of new and newly-transformed work, from world premieres to re-devised, arranged, and freshly translated reimaginings of the classical repertoire. Showcasing the work of composers, choreographers, and writers who represent nearly 400 years of theatrical history, SPARK presented an evening of interdisciplinary songs and scenes that transform traditional operatic elements to tell contemporary stories.

LA BOHÈMELight Opera of New Jersey debut!

Erin made her debut with the Light Opera of New Jersey in an English translation of Puccini’s La Bohème that transports a classic story to modern-day New York City. Erin sang in the production’s ensemble and was featured as Angel, a newly-created role conceived by director Andrea DelGiudice; she also covered the role of Musetta.

INTO THE WOODSOff-Brand Opera’s inauguaral performance!

In November 2021, Erin co-founded Off-Brand Opera, a new theater company dedicated to storytelling across genres and challenging traditional performance practices. She performed as the Baker’s Wife in and music directed the company’s inaugural production, Into the Woods. Erin currently serves on Off-Brand Opera’s board as Artistic Director of Production.

NIETZSCHE! THE MUSICAL World Premiere Reading!

A new musical about the life and loves of infamous philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, written by Kimerer LaMothe and Geoffrey Gee. In this premiere reading, Erin was thrilled to take on the role of Lou Salomé, the fiercely intellectual and independent woman who inspired some of Nietzsche’s most passionate philosophy.

SUMMER IN NARNI!

Erin was delighted to spend July in Narni at the Narnia International Vocal Arts Festival singing the role of Genovieffa in two operas: Puccini’s Suor Angelica, and PIETÀ, a new companion opera composed by Jake Landau with libretto by Jake Landau and Andrea DelGiudice. This performance marked the European premiere of PIETÀ, as well as its first live performance. How happy we were to get back to singing for an audience!

NEW OPERA, PANDEMIC-STYLE – Recorded World Premiere Reading!

The socially-distanced recording of PIETÀ, a new opera composed by Jake Landau and directed by Andrea DelGiudice, was a bright spot in 2020. This world premiere comes in advance of the opera’s first live performance next summer in Narni, Italy!
